Nobody has to ask what shift they’re on.

Akordo puts the schedule, time off, swaps, tasks and labor cost in one app that works on everyone's phone. Built for cafés, bars, restaurants and hotels.

Why switch

You already have a system. It’s just held together by group chats.

A printed rota, a group chat nobody can scroll back through, and a spreadsheet one person understands. It works — right up until someone doesn’t show.

The old way

Three places, none of them current

A handwritten weekly shift schedule on notebook paper, with crossed-out shifts, question marks and a note asking to confirm
A shift schedule kept in an Excel spreadsheet, with a highlighted cell and notes about missing and unconfirmed shifts

Kush e mbulon nesër?? 😩

Unë s’mundem sot 🙈

✓✓ Read

  • The version in Excel and the version in the chat disagree
  • Every swap costs four messages and a phone call
  • What the week cost you is a month-end surprise
  • You find out someone's a no-show right when the shift starts

  • The week's cost is on screen while you're still building it
  • Everyone gets a reminder an hour before their shift starts

What’s inside

Four things, done properly.

The week, the requests, the money and the floor — each one built out properly.

Scheduling

Build the week in minutes, not evenings.

Save your shift types once, then tap them onto the week. Akordo checks every shift as you place it.

  • Double-bookings are refused, not just warned about.
  • Time off and unavailability are flagged before you publish.
  • Build the whole week from your phone, with a guided, step-by-step flow.

Time off & swaps

Let the team sort the small stuff.

Staff set their availability, request time off, and swap, trade or drop shifts. Everything lands in one queue.

  • One queue for everything — org-wide for owners, per venue for managers.
  • Trades swap two shifts at once — both schedules update themselves.
  • Approving time off shows the affected shifts first — find cover or remove each one.

Labor cost

See what the week costs before you publish it.

Set an hourly rate per person once. Akordo works out the cost from the shifts you build — by day, venue and person.

  • Owner only. Managers never see a rate.
  • A raise never rewrites the past — old reports keep the old rate.
  • Missing rates are flagged, never priced at zero.

Day to day

Nothing runs on memory.

Daily checklists that rebuild themselves, targeted announcements with read receipts, and a reminder an hour before each shift.

  • Recurring tasks create themselves every day.
  • Target a person, department or position, so everyone sees only their own work.
  • Shift reminders go out an hour ahead, in the app and by email.

And the rest

The details that decide it.

Many venues, one login

Run several venues side by side and switch between them without logging out.

Roles that actually scope

Managers only see their assigned venues. Employees only see published weeks.

Notes on a shift

“Deliveries at 11, cover the door.” Visible only to the person working it.

Open shifts that fill themselves

Staff can claim an open shift, the manager or owner picks who gets it, and Akordo warns them if it's still unclaimed the day before.

Notifications that mean something

Notifications only come when someone is waiting on an action from you. Always in the app, by email if you want it.

Gaps and long stretches

Akordo flags gaps in the schedule and anyone over your days-in-a-row limit before the week goes out.

Live preview

Have a look around. It’s the real thing.

Not a video and not a screenshot — the actual interface, loaded with a pretend café in Kosovo. Switch tabs and scroll. Nothing you touch here is connected to a real business.

Why we built it

Made here, for how hospitality actually runs here.

We kept seeing the same setup: a real team, a serious business — and a schedule held together by whatever the manager remembers, a group chat nobody can scroll back through, and one spreadsheet only the owner understands.

That was never the team’s fault — the tools just never fit. In this industry, the desk is wherever you’re standing. So Akordo was built for the phone in an apron pocket first, and a desktop second.

What it costs

Every feature, on every plan.

No feature gates, no per-seat maths, no upsell when you reach for the thing you came for. The only difference is how many venues and people you’re running.

Every trial runs at full, unlimited caps — not just the plan you start on.

Questions

Asked and answered.

If yours isn’t here, write to us — a person answers, and we’ll tell you honestly if Akordo isn’t the right fit.

01Who is Akordo for?
Hospitality businesses that run a rota: cafés, bars, restaurants, hotels, bakeries, fast food, lounges and catering. If your team works in shifts and isn't sitting at a desk, it was built for you.
02Is there really a free trial?
14 days, everything unlocked, no card. It applies to your first business. If you later open a second one under the same login, that one starts on a paid plan.
03How do I pay?
By bank transfer. Choose your plan in the app and you'll get the account details and a reference code. Once the transfer arrives we activate the month. No card is ever stored.
04Does my team need to install anything?
No. Akordo opens in the phone's browser and is built for that screen first — they tap a link, log in, and it behaves like an app. Nothing to download, nothing to keep updated.
05Who can see pay rates?
The owner only. Managers build schedules and clear requests but never see a rate or a cost figure — not even their own. That line is enforced in the database itself, not just hidden in the screen.
06Is my business data kept separate?
Yes. Every business is isolated at the database level and the rule is checked on every single query — one business can't read another's data even if something in the app went wrong.
07What if I outgrow my plan?
Akordo warns you as you approach your staff or venue limit, and you can move up a plan whenever you like from the billing screen.
08What happens if I stop paying?
A 5-day grace period, then a pause — never a deletion. Everything keeps working for 5 days after a payment is late. If it still hasn’t arrived, the schedule locks for everyone except the owner’s own billing page — nothing is ever deleted, and paying brings it all back immediately.
